Cub Scout Advancement & Awards

Cub Scouts earn adventures that are specific to their grade and rank.  A number of adventures must be completed to earn the rank advancement for each grade level. Click here to see an overview of how Cub Scout advancement works. Instructions for completing each adventure and rank advancements are detailed in the Scout handbooks and in the Den Leader Guides.

There are also many other awards that individual Scouts as well as your pack or den can earn. From recruiting their friends to staying active in Scouting to being prepared for emergencies, there are many ways outside of the advancement program for Scouts to be recognized.

Service Hours

All units should enter their service hours on a regular basis. This helps units achieve higher awards in Journey to Excellence and helps our council more accurately report how much service we provide to the community. Click here for the Service Hours Portal. Need your unit ID? Contact our office at 847-433-1813.
